To set the temperature on the IVYX Scientific -86°C Portable Deep Freezer, please follow the Temperature Control Instructions provided in the instruction manual:
1. Press the SET key. The screen will display "SP" (Set Point).
2. Press the SET key again. The current set temperature (SP value) will be displayed.
3. Adjust the set temperature using the and keys. The temperature can be set in 0.1°C increments from -40.0°C to -86.0°C.
4. Press the SET key to confirm the set temperature. The compressor will turn on, and the temperature will drop until the set temperature is reached. The red dot under the "out" on the LCD screen indicates that the compressor is running.
5. Press the SET key and key simultaneously to exit the temperature setting mode. Alternatively, you can wait for one minute, and the current temperature inside the freezer will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Please note that it is recommended to wait for the set temperature to be reached before placing samples inside the freezer. Additionally, to prevent large temperature fluctuations, do not fill more than ¼ of the capacity at a time. Fill to ¼ capacity, wait a few minutes for the temperature to stabilize, and then add more samples if needed.
