To install the , follow these steps:
1. Park the trailer on a level surface and block the wheels.
2. Disconnect the trailer battery.
3. Remove the foot pad of the jack by removing the lock pin and sliding it out.
4. Position the foot pad in line with the mounting hole, with the foot on the ground.
5. Support the trailer tongue with jack stands.
6. If replacing an old jack, remove the old jack from the coupler, saving the washers and bolts.
7. Insert the electric jack through the A-frame coupler hole and align the bolt holes so the motor housing is facing forward towards the tow vehicle.
8. Secure the jack with three Grade 5, 3/8 in. 16UNC bolts and washers. Remove paint from around one bolt hole on the jack and the matching bolt hole on the trailer tongue. If the paint layer is thick, add a flat washer between the jack and the trailer for good contact. Tighten the bolts to 15-20 ft. lbs.
9. Connect the black wire lead from the jack to the positive (+) terminal of the battery or junction box. Connect the white ground wire to the negative (-) battery terminal or trailer frame.
10. Check for proper installation by pressing the up/down switch to extend/retract the jack.
11. After checking for proper operation, reattach the foot pad to the inner tube of the jack using the lock pin.
12. Retract the jack completely.
