To install the Competition Engineering C2056 Mustang Coil-Over Shock Mount Kit on your 3rd Gen Mustang rear suspension, please follow the steps outlined in the user guide provided:
1. Jack up and support the chassis of your Mustang in four places using jack stands.
2. Support the rear end with a floor jack.
3. Remove the factory rear shocks.
4. Lower the rear end housing enough to facilitate the removal of the factory coil springs.
5. Install a Lower Shock Bracket (with the 3/8 bolt hole facing up) onto the rear end housing using the supplied 1/2" X 1" Bolt, 1/2" Nyloc Nut, 3/8" X 1-1/4" Bolt, Nyloc Nut, and 3/8" X 1/2" Spacer.
6. Place a Spacer between the Lower Shock Bracket and the existing bracket on the rear end.
7. Insert a 3/8" bolt through both brackets and the spacer, and secure it with the supplied Nyloc Nut.
8. Install a 1/2" X 1" Bolt and tighten it securely using a Nyloc Nut.
9. Install the Upper Shock Brackets, ensuring that the long flat edge of the top of the bracket faces the outside of the car. To determine the correct side, place the brackets as explained previously. The Shock Tower should be on the rearmost portion of the Upper Bracket when matched to the correct side of the car (looking from the center of the vehicle).
10. Secure the Upper Shock Brackets with the supplied Nyloc Nut and Washer, and tighten them to 180 ft lbs.
11. Follow the installation instructions included with your shocks for shock installation.
12. Note that the spacers included with this kit are used to center your shock in the Upper and Lower Shock Brackets.
