To connect the Battle Born BBGC2 Deep Cycle Batteries in parallel, follow these steps:
1. Identify the positive and negative terminals on each battery. These are labeled and color-coded red for positive (+) and black for negative (-).
2. Determine the appropriate finishing hardware set to use. Verify that your bolt can fully seat into the nylok insert of the nut.
3. Make the proper cable connections to the positive terminal of the first battery. Follow the proper order of hardware as shown in Figure 1 of the manual.
4. Use a torque wrench to tighten the hardware to the specification of 9 to 11 ft-lbs. Do not finger tighten.
5. Connect the other end of your positive cable to the positive terminal of the second battery. Repeat step 4.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the negative connections.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for any additional batteries you want to connect in parallel.
Note: Ensure that all cables and connections can accommodate the high currents that can be delivered by the batteries. It is highly recommended to use appropriate fuses and circuit breakers to protect downstream components from current spikes and short circuits.
For a visual reference, you can refer to Figure 3.1 and Figure 3.2 in the manual, which show an example of a finished parallel connection.
Remember to follow all safety precautions and consult the manual for additional information and guidelines.
