To adjust the brush height on the BISSELL BGU1800T Commercial Upright Vacuum Cleaner, follow these steps:
1. With the machine on and the handle in the normal operating position, slowly rotate the brush adjustment xxxx clockwise until the red light turns on. This indicates that the brush height is set too low or there are debris hindering the movement of the brush roller.
2. Turn the brush adjustment xxxx slowly counterclockwise until the red light turns off. If the red light goes on and off intermittently while vacuuming, this is correct. If the red light stays on all the time, turn the xxxx counterclockwise until the light turns off.
Note: If the motor becomes overloaded due to vacuuming with a full bag, dirty filters, or a clog, the thermal protector will shut down the motor automatically. In this case, switch off the vacuum, disconnect the plug, and check the bag, filters, and for any signs of clogging. After correcting the problem, wait for approximately 30-40 minutes for the thermal protector to reset itself before resuming vacuuming.
