To connect the Graviton SPD-1 850 PD Series O/E Converter to an instrument, follow these steps:
1. First, confirm that the power switch on the O/E converter is off.
2. Connect the Power Cable Assembly supplied with the converter to the power input connector on the rear panel of the converter. If your instrument has a probe power connector, you can connect the other side of the Power Cable to it. Refer to page 6 of the manual for connecting an external power supply if your instrument does not have a probe power connector.
3. Turn on the power switch.
4. Connect the fiber connector to the O/E converter.
5. Adjust the voltage and sweep time of the instrument to observe the light signal.
6. Make sure to select 50Ω impedance on the instrument.
Note: If your instrument does not have a BNC jack, you may need a conversion connector to connect the O/E converter to the instrument.
