To install and charge the battery for the CHIAYO ITX2 microphone, please follow the steps below:
1. Press and slide off the battery cover located on the back of the microphone.
2. Insert 1 AA battery into the battery compartment. Ensure that the battery type is rechargeable if you intend to use the charger.
3. If you want to charge the microphone without removing the battery, you can connect the microphone to the HC-42 (single-unit) or HC-422 (dual-unit) charger using the charging contact on the microphone.
4. It is important to note that the transmitter has a unique inbuilt safety feature to protect against overcharging the battery. To enable the special charging function, remove 1cm of the PVC cover from the negative end of the battery. This ensures safe charging. Rechargeable batteries must be used in this manner.
5. If you plan to leave the microphone unused for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery until the next use.
