To adjust the tension of the spring in the CONDUCTIX wampfler Hose Balancer, follow these steps:
1. Attach the load on the balancer.
2. Plug an allen-key (6 mm) onto the spring shaft (6).
3. Hold the allen-key tightly and press it onto the hose balancer.
4. When the load has reached its counterweight, make sure the spring snaps in.
5. Take off the allen-key.
For lighter loads, reduce the initial tension of the spring by turning towards "-" (minus). For heavier loads, increase the initial tension by turning towards "+" (plus).
Please note that the balancer should never be operated under the minimum load mentioned on the type plate. The maximum initial tension can be achieved by turning the spring shaft (6) a certain number of times towards "+":
- For type 040409-1, turn approximately 4 times.
- For type 040409-2, turn approximately 2½ times.
- For type 040409-3, turn approximately 2 times.
Do not stress the spring further than these maximum values.
It is important to read and strictly follow the complete safety and operation instructions provided in the instruction manual to ensure safe and proper usage of the hose balancer.
