Loading the powder and nails into the HILTI DX 5-F8 Powder actuated direct fastening tool is a straightforward process. Please follow the steps below:
1. Ensure that the tool is disconnected from any power source and that the magazine is empty.
2. Locate the magazine on the rear of the tool. Press the magazine release button and slide the magazine downwards to remove it from the tool.
3. Open the magazine by pressing the latch on the side and lifting the cover.
4. Take a strip of nails and insert it into the magazine, ensuring that the nail heads are facing towards the front of the tool. Make sure the nails are aligned properly and fit snugly into the magazine.
5. Close the magazine cover and ensure that it latches securely.
6. To load the powder, locate the powder chamber on the top of the tool. Twist the powder chamber cap counterclockwise to remove it.
7. Insert the appropriate powder cartridge into the chamber, following the instructions provided on the cartridge packaging. Ensure that the cartridge is fully seated and aligned correctly.
8. Replace the powder chamber cap by twisting it clockwise until it is securely tightened.
9. Reattach the magazine to the tool by sliding it upwards until it clicks into place.
10. Your HILTI DX 5-F8 Powder actuated direct fastening tool is now loaded and ready for use.
