To install the Bradford White Connect Adapter, follow these steps:

1. Mount the Adapter onto a flat surface using the supplied screws or adhesive strips. Ensure that the Adapter is placed away from the water heater for better signal strength.

2. The Adapter must be within 5 feet of a 120V outlet and within reach of the ethernet port on the water heater. Use the supplied ethernet cable to connect the RJ45 port on the Adapter to the RJ45 port on the water heater. You can use a CAT5e ethernet cable up to 100 feet long if needed.

3. Plug the 5-foot power supply cable from the power port of the Adapter into a 120V voltage source using the provided cable.

4. Download the Bradford White Connect App from the App Store or Google Play Store and log in using your email and password. If you haven't signed up yet, click "SIGN UP as Homeowner" and follow the on-screen instructions.

5. Begin the pairing process by clicking "Add Water Heater" in the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

6. To discover the Adapter, hold the action button on the Adapter for 3 seconds to activate Bluetooth pairing mode. Your mobile device will now be able to discover the Adapter.

7. Select the Adapter from the Discover screen on your mobile device and enter the last six digits of your Adapter's serial number for multifactor authentication.

8. Once your Adapter and mobile device are connected via Bluetooth, select your local wireless network and enter the network password using your mobile device.

9. If the Adapter successfully connects to the wireless network, you will see a confirmation screen. Enter the serial number of the water heater or scan the barcode on the side of the heater if prompted. Click the box on the bottom of the Congratulations page to complete the installation.

Please note that for electric grid connectivity, you may need to install an ASSE-approved thermostatic mixing valve in the water system. Consult with a plumbing professional for further guidance.
