To adjust the sensitivity of the sensor, you will need to use the DIP switches located on the sensor. The DIP switches are labeled from left to right. Switches 1 and 2 control the detection sensitivity of the sensor. To increase the sensitivity, flip switches 1 and 2 to the ON position. To decrease the sensitivity, flip switches 1 and 2 to the OFF position. Refer to Figure 1 in the manual for a visual representation of the sensitivity settings.
It is important to note that adjusting the sensitivity will affect the detection range of the sensor. The detection range is the circular radius of the detection zone produced on the ground after mounting the sensor at a height of 40ft. It is recommended to perform a walk test and adjust the sensitivity to achieve the desired detection range.
Please refer to the manual for further details and illustrations on adjusting the sensitivity and other settings of the Sunco PRE-88845 Bi-Level, Motion and Daylight Harvest Microwave Sensor.
