The Smith-Blair TI-010 Ductile Iron Service Saddle with Stainless Strap is not recommended for use on plastic pipes, except for specific sizes and types. It can be used on PVC pipes with a standard dimension ratio (DR) of 26 or thicker, and on Cast/Ductile Iron O.D. C-900 PVC pipes with a Class 150 rating or better (DR18). However, it should not be used on fiberglass reinforced plastic pipe, plastic irrigation pipe, or plastic pipe other than the sizes and types mentioned above. Please refer to the installation instructions for specific details on the limitations and requirements for plastic pipe installation.
