To assemble and mount the LSI Wind Direction Sensors, please follow the instructions provided in the user manual:
1. Select a well-exposed spot for the instrument, preferably 10 meters off the ground, away from any surrounding obstacles that may disturb the measurements.
2. For the standard sensor models (DNA31x, DNA81x):
a. Unscrew the nut and washer from the shaft thread.
b. Insert the DNA127 wind vane on the sensor's body, ensuring it goes until the nut adjustment.
c. Insert the washer and nut on the threaded shaft, then tighten with a wrench while holding the shaft with a screwdriver. Do not tighten the nut by holding the wind vane with your hand.
d. Tighten the protective cover.
e. Connect the cable to the sensor.
f. Mount the sensor on the mast and tighten the xxxx . Ensure the "red nose" of the sensor is pointing north for orientation.
3. For the compact sensor model (DNA212.1):
a. Unscrew the xxxx from the shaft thread.
b. Insert the DNA218 wind vane on the sensor's body, aligning the wind vane's notch with the tooth on the sensor body's rotating cone.
c. Fix the xxxx and tighten it.
d. Connect the DWA5xx cable to the sensor. If you have the MG2251 connector instead, follow the instructions in the manual to build the cable.
e. Mount the sensor on the mast, ensuring the "red nose" is pointing north, and tighten the screws.
