To connect the OBSIDIAN DMX 10-5 Netron 10 Output 5-Pin DMX Isolated Splitter, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect power before performing any maintenance.
2. For electrical connections, it is recommended to use a qualified electrician.
3. Connect the AC power using the provided power cable. Make sure to use the appropriate plug for your region.
4. Connect your DMX devices to the splitter's DMX input ports. The DMX10-5 has two 5-pin DMX input ports, while the DMX10-3 has two 3-pin DMX input ports.
5. Connect your DMX devices to the splitter's DMX output ports. The DMX10-5 has ten 5-pin DMX output ports, and the DMX10-3 has ten 3-pin DMX output ports.
6. Use DMX cables to connect the devices. Make sure to provide strain relief and support to prevent damaging the DMX ports.
7. To route the DMX signal, use the integrated toggle switches on the front of the splitter. Switch UP corresponds to A (blue), and switch Down corresponds to B (orange). You can assign each output port to either the A or B input.
8. The LED indicators on the output ports will show the DMX routing. Solid blue or orange indicates DMX traffic, while blinking indicates no DMX traffic.
