To activate the TPMS sensor using the THINKCAR THINKTPMS G2 TPMS Car Tire Pressure Diagnostic Tool, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the device is powered on by pressing the button for about 3 seconds until a beep sounds and the screen lights up.
2. Select the TPMS module on the mobile app (ThinkDiag+). If you haven't downloaded the app, search for "ThinkDiag+" in Google Play or "ThinkDiag" in the App Store and download it for free.
3. Register an email account on the app and go to the home page.
4. Select the THINKTPMS module and enter the SN number and activation code to bind the device.
5. Once the binding is successful, the program will automatically update.
6. Select the brand and model of your vehicle.
7. Select the year frequency band of the tire pressure sensor.
8. Place the THINKTPMS G2 device alongside the valve stem of the tire you want to activate.
9. Press the OK button on the device. For universal sensors, point the device towards the sensor location. For early magnet-activated sensors, place the magnet over the stem before activating.
10. The device will perform a TPMS test in a sequence of FL (Front Left), FR (Front Right), RR (Rear Right), LR (Rear Left), and SPARE (if applicable). You can use the A/V button to move to the desired wheel for testing.
11. Once the sensor is successfully activated and decoded, the THINKTPMS G2 will vibrate slightly and the screen will display the sensor data, including sensor ID, tire pressure, tire frequency, tire temperature, and battery condition.
Note: If the TPMS sensor requires tire deflation, deflate the tire to the specified pressure before activating the sensor.
