To install the SPS-66 Condensate Pump, please follow these steps:
1. Before starting the installation, make sure to read and understand all the safety guidelines and instructions provided in the manual.
2. Ensure that the pump is compatible with your ductless mini split system and that it is suitable for the intended application.
3. Examine the pump upon receipt to check for any damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, notify the seller for assistance with replacement or repair.
4. Install a 1 amp inline fuse as a safety precaution. The high-level safety switch should be wired to prevent the continued operation of the air conditioning unit in case the pump fails.
5. The installation diagram provided in the manual is an example and should be used as a reference only. It is recommended to have a qualified engineer assess the setup of your individual air conditioning unit and install the pump accordingly.
6. Connect the pump unit to the indoor unit and outdoor unit using the interconnecting cables provided.
7. Ensure that the power supply is disconnected before making any adjustments or servicing the pump.
8. If the pump runs all the time, check if the float is positioned with the magnet facing upwards. Also, ensure that the reservoir lid is firmly located onto the reservoir with the float inside, and check for any sludge inside the reservoir that may be preventing the float from resting on the bottom.
9. If the pump stops and starts and makes a loud noise, it may indicate that water is siphoning back through the pump. Refer to the "Preventing Siphoning" section in the manual for advice on how to resolve this issue.
10. If the pump is not pumping any water, check for any air leaks in the pipe running to the pump. Additionally, ensure that the reservoir and inlet tube are free of sludge and debris.
11. If the pump is not operating at all, check if power is reaching the pump, if it is correctly wired, and if the voltage is correct. Also, check if the pump has overheated, as a thermal cut-out may have been activated. The pump will automatically reset once it has cooled down.
