Cleaning and maintaining the Sealey SSP80PAPR Deluxe Face Shield is important to ensure its proper functioning and longevity. Here are the steps to clean and maintain the face shield:
1. Cleaning the Face Shield:
- Use a soft cloth dampened with a solution of water and mild, pH-neutral detergent to clean the outer surfaces of the face shield and battery pack.
- Do not immerse the face shield or battery pack in water.
- Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
- Be careful when wiping the lens, as it is not scratch-resistant. Use a soft, non-friction cloth and keep wiping to a minimum.
- Clean the face shield with soap and warm water or with ordinary household disinfectant.
- Do not use abrasive materials.
2. Cleaning the Hose Assembly:
- Clean the connection joints on the hose assembly with water and a mild detergent solution.
- The hose assembly can be immersed in water for cleaning.
- Air dry the hose assembly or connect it to the blower unit and blow dry the hose.
- Ensure the inside of the hose is completely dried before use or storage.
3. Cleaning and Disinfecting the Visor:
- Do not use abrasive materials.
- The visor lens is not scratch-resistant, so be careful when wiping it.
- Clean the visor with soap and warm water or with ordinary household disinfectant.
4. Inspection:
- Periodically inspect the face shield for any damage or pitting that may affect vision.
- If the face shield is damaged or the vision is significantly affected, replace the lens immediately.
5. Storage:
- If the face shield with powered air purifying respirator is not going to be used for an extended period, remove the filter and battery pack.
- Store the face shield in its original packaging in a clean, dry, cool place away from solvents, solvent vapors, or corrosive materials.
- Follow the recommended storage conditions of temperatures between 5°C to 40°C and 90% relative humidity.
Note: The safety visor screen (SSP80PAPR.13) has a product life of 2 years from the date of purchase.
