To update the controller and display software for the ACV E-Tech M 36 Flex Controller and Display, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the required materials: a computer with an internet connection, an E-Tech M electrical boiler (not connected to power supply), and an empty USB stick (FAT 32 formatted, max 32 GB).
2. Connect the USB stick to your computer and ensure that it appears in the file manager.
3. Visit the ACV website (https://www.acv.com/international/pag...) or scan the provided QR code to access the download page.
4. Download the latest version of the E-Tech M Controller & Display software (.zip files) to your computer. Note that there are separate files for the controller and display, so download the appropriate version based on your appliance.
5. Extract the zipped files to the root of the USB drive. Make sure the extracted files are placed directly on the USB drive, not within any folders.
6. Safely remove the USB stick from the computer.
To update the controller:
1. Ensure that the E-Tech M boiler is turned off (power supply button in the central position).
2. Connect the E-Tech M boiler to the power supply.
3. Insert the USB stick into the socket on the front panel of the boiler.
4. Turn on the boiler by turning the selection switch to the left or right.
5. During start-up, the controller will read the USB stick and perform the update.
6. After approximately 2 minutes, the appliance will restart automatically.
7. Remove the USB stick from the socket.
8. Restart the appliance to clear any remaining errors.
To update the display:
1. Ensure that the E-Tech M boiler is disconnected from the power supply.
2. Release the top panel of the boiler following the correct procedure mentioned in the Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manual.
3. Position the panel vertically and securely on top of the boiler without pulling on the cables.
4. Connect the USB stick to the socket at the back of the screen.
5. Connect the E-Tech M boiler to the power supply.
6. Turn on the boiler by turning the selection switch to the left or right.
7. Enter the system menu by touching the top-right corner and then the bottom-left corner (or vice versa) of the display within 0.5 seconds.
8. Check that "CF USB" is displayed at the bottom of the screen. If not, scroll with the key until the menu appears.
9. Touch the "CF USB" key.
10. Touch the "USB Startup" key.
11. The "Memory Loader Tool" screen will appear.
12. Touch the "Download CF -> Main Unit" function.
13. Touch "Start" to initiate the process. No password is required. Validate the transfer (Flash).
14. Follow the instructions on the screen.
15. Once the process is finished, exit the menus.
16. Shut down the boiler and disconnect the power supply.
17. Remove the USB stick from the socket at the back.
18. Reinstall the top panel, ensuring that the cables are correctly stored on the side. Refer to the Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.
Please note that it is essential to follow the instructions provided in the manual and not access or change any other parameters during the update process to avoid voiding the warranty.
