To change the tool on the BOSCH 13, 13 RE, 16, 16 RE GSB Professional Impact Drill, follow these steps:
1. Pull the plug out of the socket before carrying out any work on the power tool.
2. For a keyless chuck:
a. Hold the rear sleeve of the keyless chuck firmly and turn the front sleeve in the rotational direction until the tool can be inserted.
b. Insert the tool and hold the rear sleeve of the keyless chuck firmly.
c. Tighten the front sleeve by hand in the rotational direction until it stops clicking. This will automatically lock the drill chuck. The lock will disengage again if you turn the front sleeve in the opposite direction to remove the tool.
3. For a keyed chuck:
a. Wear protective gloves when changing tools as the drill chuck may heat up significantly when used for long periods.
b. Open the keyed chuck by turning it until the tool can be inserted.
c. Insert the tool and insert the drill chuck key into the corresponding holes of the keyed chuck.
d. Clamp the tool evenly using the drill chuck key.
