To properly install and wire the Honeywell BW RigRat I.S. Barrier Area Gas Detector, please follow the instructions provided in the installation guide. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Remove the four screws holding the cover in place and lift off the cover.
2. Pull out the input and output connectors.
3. Pass the wires through the glands on the exterior of the case and connect them to their respective terminals on each connector.
4. Plug the connectors back into the barrier and secure the wires. Tighten the glands to ensure a secure connection.
5. If mounting on a concrete or brick wall, you can do so before or after wiring. Follow the appropriate mounting instructions for your wall type.
6. If mounting on a wooden wall, you can also do so before or after wiring. Again, follow the appropriate mounting instructions for your wall type.
7. If mounting on sheet or plate metal that is less than 30mm thick, follow the mounting instructions provided.
8. Secure the back cover by tightening the four screws.
Before starting the installation, it is crucial to read and understand the BW RigRat User's Guide, which can be downloaded from safety.honeywell.com. Ensure that you are familiar with all the instructions and safety precautions mentioned in the user's guide.
