The King Electric PAW2022-W PAW Pic-A-Watt Electric Wall Heater is factory wired to 1500 Watts at 120 Volts. However, if you want to reduce the wattage, you can unplug an insulated push-on terminal following the color coding provided in the manual.
The color coding for the terminals is as follows:
- Orange: Disconnects the 750 Watt element
- Blue: Disconnects the 500 Watt element
- Yellow: Disconnects the 250 Watt element
- Black: Do not disconnect (common)
To reduce the wattage, simply unplug the corresponding terminal and wrap it with electrical tape to prevent electrical contact with other parts. Please refer to the wiring diagrams and the end view of the element in the manual for a visual representation.
It is important to note that the wattage selection should be done carefully and in accordance with the electrical requirements and safety guidelines provided in the manual. If you are not knowledgeable about wiring codes, it is recommended to consult an electrician for assistance.
