To add detergent to the Whirlpool WTW4955HW top load washer, follow these steps:
1. Use only high-efficiency (HE) detergent. Using non-HE detergent can result in longer cycle times and reduced rinsing performance.
2. Measure the recommended amount of HE detergent based on your load size. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the correct amount.
3. Open the washer lid and add the measured amount of HE detergent directly into the washer basket.
4. If you are using Oxi-type boosters, color-safe bleach, or fabric softener crystals, add them to the bottom of the washer basket before adding clothes.
5. Close the lid and proceed with selecting the cycle and settings for your laundry load.
It is important to note that using non-HE detergent or overfilling the detergent can cause issues with the washer's performance and may result in mold or mildew buildup over time. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for detergent usage.
