To remove the factory fuel pump from your Honda Civic or Accord, follow these steps:
1. Carefully remove the venturi jet pump assembly from the module by prying out on the tab and sliding the venturi jet backwards. For Accords, skip this step as they have an internal venturi jet.
2. Unplug the factory electrical connectors for the pump and sending unit, and unclip the wires from their holders on the filter center assembly.
3. Unlatch and separate the center section from the lower bucket portion. There are 3 latches around the perimeter of the assembly. Note: For Accords, you will need to remove the top hat to separate the center section. This is done by compressing and removing the e-clip from the post.
4. Remove the factory fuel pump by unlatching the filter sock from the bottom of the filter center assembly. The pump may be held in place by the O-rings. You can push on the pump from the top connector side to remove it. Make sure to remove the O-ring from the center filter section if it remains in place and not on the pump.
Once the factory fuel pump is removed, you can proceed with installing the DEATSCHWERKS DW300c Fuel Pump using the provided parts and following the remaining steps in the installation guide.
