To adjust the magnification on the OPTO-EDU A13.2501-B Portable Metallurgical Microscope, follow these steps:
1. Start by rotating the objective turret to select the desired objective lens. The microscope has multiple objective lenses with different magnification levels (100x, 200x, 400x).
2. Once the objective lens is selected, use the coaxial coarse and fine focus knobs to bring the specimen into focus. The coaxial knobs are located on both sides of the microscope's arm. The coarse focus xxxx is used for initial focusing, while the fine focus xxxx is used for precise focusing.
3. After achieving the desired focus, you can further adjust the magnification by using the eyepiece. The microscope has a total magnification range of 100x to 400x. The eyepiece has a fixed magnification, usually 10x or 16x, which, when combined with the selected objective lens, determines the overall magnification.
4. To calculate the total magnification, multiply the magnification of the objective lens by the magnification of the eyepiece. For example, if you have the 100x objective lens and a 10x eyepiece, the total magnification would be 100x * 10x = 1000x.
Please refer to the OPTO-EDU A13.2501-B Portable Metallurgical Microscope Instruction Manual for more detailed information and illustrations on adjusting the magnification and using other features of the microscope.
