To clean and store the APERA LabSen 753 Stainless Steel Sheath Spear pH Electrode, please follow these steps:
1. When measuring, unscrew the bottle cap, pull out the electrode, and rinse it with deionized water. After use, put the electrode back into the bottle and xxxx the cap tightly.
2. Before pulling out or putting back the electrode, fully loosen the blue cap on the storage sleeve to allow the electrode to move in and out smoothly.
3. The electrode must be soaked in 3M KCl solution for storage. This is because the polymer electrolyte may shrink after long exposure to air. Ensure the electrode is fully submerged in the solution.
4. The measuring tip of the electrode should be soaked in a soaking bottle containing a certain amount of 3M KCl soaking solution. This keeps the membrane hydrated and the junction unblocked. If the storage solution becomes turbid or mildewed, clean the bottle and replace the storage solution. Do not soak the electrode in pure water or buffer solution for an extended period.
5. Keep the connector of the electrode clean and dry. If it becomes contaminated, clean it with medical cotton and absolute alcohol, and blow dry it to prevent short circuits and slow electrode reactions.
It is important to follow these cleaning and storage instructions to ensure the longevity and accuracy of the APERA LabSen 753 Stainless Steel Sheath Spear pH Electrode.
