To switch between computers using the Kinan KM0104 4 Port KM Switch, you have three options:
1. Port selection via front panel pushbuttons: Press the "Switch Keyboard, Mouse and Audio to Previous PC" button to switch to the previous computer, and press the "Switch Keyboard, Mouse and Audio to Next PC" button to switch to the next computer. The corresponding LED light will indicate the active computer.
2. Keyboard hotkey: By default, the hotkey function is disabled. If you want to enable hotkey operation, press the two white square keys "[ ] + [ ]" for 2 seconds. After enabling the hotkey function, you can use the following hotkey combinations to switch between computers:
- PC switching: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + port#" to switch the Keyboard, Mouse, Audio, and USB from port 1 to port 4.
- Mode selection: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + M + (0~3)" to select different display modes.
- Audio switching: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + A + (0~4)" to switch audio settings.
- HUB switching: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + U + (0~4)" to switch USB2.0 settings.
- Broadcast: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + B" to unlock and lock the broadcast mode.
- Hotkey cycling: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + F" to cycle through different hotkey combinations.
- Reset to factory default: Press "L_Ctrl + L_Ctrl + R" to restore factory settings.
3. Mouse cursor: In single-head mode, you can seamlessly switch between computers by moving the mouse cursor from one display to another. In multi-head mode, press the scroll wheel twice and then move the mouse in the direction of the desired channel to switch.
