To install the Bushman DC-X fridge, it is recommended to have a suitably trained professional complete the installation. Here are some key steps to follow:
1. Power Supply: Connect the fridge to a stable and regulated 12V or 24V DC power supply. Ensure that the power supply is a pure sine wave and not a modified sine wave inverter.
2. Wiring: Wire the fridge on a dedicated circuit directly to your battery bank. Use the correct sized wire depending on the distance from your power supply to the fridge. The earth should be wired directly to your battery, not to a chassis.
3. Ventilation: Provide a minimum of 2 vents from the rear of the fridge cavity to the outside environment or the main room where the fridge is located. Each vent should have a free cross section of 400cm2.
4. Mounting: Install the fridge using either the mounting kit or the internal mounting sleeves. Follow the instructions provided in the manual for each method.
5. Polarity: Ensure the wiring polarity is correct. Connect the red wire to the positive terminal (+) and the black wire to the negative terminal (-). Avoid connecting bare electric wires together.
