1. Gather the necessary materials: You will need high viscosity impression material (preferably Otoform Green, Pink, Yellow, Orange, or Purple), a 1 to 2 inch bite block, and a mirror.
2. Prepare the ear: Clean your ears thoroughly to remove any wax or debris. Ensure that your ears are dry before proceeding.
3. Mix the impression material: Follow the instructions provided with the impression material to mix it properly. Make sure it reaches a consistent and smooth texture.
4. Insert the bite block: Place the bite block between your teeth to minimize jaw movement during the impression process. This will help achieve an optimal seal.
5. Apply the impression material: Using a syringe or similar device, carefully inject the impression material into the ear canal. Start from the entrance and fill the canal completely. Avoid overfilling, as it may cause discomfort.
