To perform a colorimetric test using the MACHEREY-NAGEL 931210 VISOCOLOR ECO Ammonium 15 Test Kit, please follow the instructions provided in the manual:
1. Pour a 1 mL water sample into each of the measuring glasses using the plastic syringe.
2. Place a measuring glass on position A in the comparator.
3. Only add the reagent to measuring glass B.
4. Add 10 drops of NH4-1 to measuring glass B. Seal the glass and mix.
5. Add 1 level measuring spoonful of NH4-2 to measuring glass B, seal the glass and shake the mixture until the powder has dissolved. Wait for 5 minutes.
6. Add 4 drops of NH4-3 to measuring glass B. Seal the glass and mix.
7. Open the glass after 7 minutes and place it on position B in the comparator.
8. Slide the comparator until the colors match in the inspection hole on top.
9. Check the measurement reading in the recess on the comparator reed. Mid-values can be estimated.
10. After use, rinse out both measuring glasses thoroughly and seal them.
Please note that the reagents in the kit are also suitable for photometric evaluation. The technique can also be used for analyzing sea water after dilution (1+9).
