To perform a dissolved oxygen test using the MACHEREY-NAGEL 931288 VISOCOLOR ECO Oxygen Test Kit, please follow the instructions provided:
1. Cover the working surface with a polyethylene-coated filter paper.
2. Pour 1 mL of the water sample into one of the measuring glasses and place it on position A in the comparator.
3. Rinse the oxygen reaction bottle several times with the water to be tested and fill it until it overflows without air bubbles.
4. Add 5 drops of O2-1 to the oxygen reaction bottle.
5. Add 5 drops of O2-2 to the oxygen reaction bottle, close the bottle with the stopper (avoid air bubbles), and mix by shaking.
6. After 1 minute, add 12 drops of O2-3 to the oxygen reaction bottle, close the bottle, and shake well until the deposit is dissolved.
7. Pour 1 mL of the resultant reaction solution into the second measuring glass and place it on position B in the comparator.
8. Slide the comparator until the colors match in the inspection hole on top.
9. Check the measurement reading in the recess on the comparator reed. Midvalues can be estimated.
10. After use, rinse out the oxygen reaction bottle and both measuring glasses thoroughly and seal them.
Please note that the reagents can be used for photometric evaluation with the PF-12/PF-12Plus photometer. The method can also be applied for the analysis of sea water.
