To operate multiple indoor units with one outdoor unit, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the cooling and heating operations are not selected simultaneously. If one unit is set to COOL mode and another unit is set to HEAT mode, the unit selected last will go into standby mode.
2. Press the "On/Off" button to start or stop the operation.
3. Press the "Mode" button to select the desired operation mode. Each press will cycle through the available modes, including COOL, HEAT, and others.
4. Use the "+" or "-" buttons to set the desired temperature. Each press will raise or lower the temperature by 1°F (1°C).
5. Press the "Fan" button to select the fan speed. Each press will cycle through the available fan speeds, including AUTO, high, medium, and low. It is recommended to use a higher fan speed to cool or heat the room quickly, and then lower the fan speed for quiet operation.
6. Press the "Vane" button to select the airflow direction. Each press will cycle through the available airflow directions, including AUTO, manual, and swing. The AUTO mode sets the vane to the most efficient airflow direction.
7. If using the MANUAL mode for airflow direction, select direction 1 for efficient cooling or direction 5 for heat. If direction 4 or 5 is selected during COOL/DRY mode, the vane will move upward after 30 minutes to 1 hour to prevent condensation from dripping.
8. To change the horizontal airflow direction, manually move the vertical vane before starting the operation.
By following these steps, you can operate multiple indoor units with one outdoor unit using the Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-GL 6-15 remote control.
