To install the deck mount on the TORO 137-5580 4000 Series Groundsmaster Rotary Mower, follow these steps:
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage the power takeoff.
2. Lower the attachments and engage the parking brake.
3. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait for all movement to stop.
4. Allow the machine components to cool.
5. Remove the snap rings on both sides of the U-joint and the caps under the snap rings.
6. Remove the existing long bolt, plate, and rubber cushion.
7. Remove the bolts that hold the deck mount to the cutting unit.
8. Remove the bolt, locknut, and spacers that secure the hydraulic cylinder to the deck mount.
9. Using the new deck mount as a template, locate and drill a 9/16-inch hole into the rear plates on the cutting unit.
10. Place the new deck mounts onto the cutting unit.
11. Install the bolts that secure the deck mount to the cutting unit and torque them to 102 N∙m (75 ft-lb).
12. Install the U-joint caps and secure them with the previously removed snap rings.
13. Install the hydraulic cylinder to the deck mount with a bolt, locknut, and spacers, and torque them to 136 N∙m (100 ft-lb).
14. Install the cable tie.
15. Start the machine and check the operation of the cutting unit. Adjust the hoses if needed to ensure they do not rub against the machine.
