To perform the MACHEREY-NAGEL Test 0-74 NANOCOLOR Phenolic index 5 Tube Test, follow the instructions below:
1. Requisite accessories: piston pipette with tips.
2. Open the test tube and add 1.0 mL of R2 and 4.0 mL of the test sample. The pH value of the sample must be between pH 1 and 13. Close the test tube and mix the contents.
3. Add 1 NANOFIX R3 to the test tube, close it, and mix again. Immediately close the NANOFIX tube after use.
4. Clean the outside of the test tube and let it sit for 5 minutes.
5. Measure the sample using a photometer at a wavelength of 520 nm.
6. If you are working with colored or turbid samples, refer to the manual for your specific NANOCOLOR photometer and use the correction value key.
7. For photometers of other manufacturers, check if the measurement of round glass tubes is possible. Verify the factor for each type of instrument by measuring standard solutions.
