To assemble and set up the music hall mmf-5.3 turntable, please follow these steps:
1. Clear a level and suitable workspace to assemble the turntable.
2. Remove the turntable and all parts from the carton.
3. xxxx the three feet onto the bottom of the turntable.
4. Level the turntable by adjusting the feet using the bubble level.
5. Install the drive belt for 33 ⅓ rpm play by looping it around the smaller diameter rim of the stepped motor pulley and around the rim of the sub-platter.
6. Center the platter over the spindle of the sub-platter and lower it until it rests securely.
7. Place the counterweight onto the tonearm by screwing it counterclockwise onto the back of the tonearm.
8. Remove the tonearm-locking strap or tie and the stylus guard.
9. Balance the tonearm by floating it parallel to the platter and adjust the counterweight if necessary.
10. Set the tracking force to 1.8g by turning the counterweight counterclockwise until the tracking force scale shows 18.
11. Attach the anti-skating weight to the anti-skating rod and hanger.
12. Slide the dust cover onto the dust cover hinges on the back of the plinth.
13. If using a different cartridge, follow the instructions in the manual for installation and adjustment.
14. Connect the interconnect cable to the audio output connectors and the MM phono input on your amplifier.
15. Connect the mains wire to the DC power input for the motor and plug the transformer into the wall.
16. Place a record on the platter, xxxx on the record clamp, and push the mains switch to the 'ON' position.
17. Lift the tonearm with the cueing lever and position it above the initial groove of the record. Lower the cueing lever to lower the tonearm onto the record.
18. To stop play, lift the cueing lever to raise the tonearm and move it back to the tonearm rest. Push the mains switch to 'OFF'.
