To charge the batteries for the CARSON 2544117 Radlader Volvo 2.4 GHz Loader, please follow the instructions provided in the manual. Here is a summary of the charging instructions:
1. Before using the batteries for the first time, they must be charged. The first charge should not be carried out in rapid charge mode.
2. Use a charging unit specifically designed for NiMH batteries. Do not use a charger intended for other battery types.
3. Before charging, allow the batteries to cool to ambient temperature. Do not charge them while they are hot.
4. Place the batteries on a non-flammable, heat-resistant support during charging. Ensure there are no flammable or easily ignited objects near the batteries.
5. The recommended charging current is 1/10 of the battery's capacity, also known as the 10-hour rate. The maximum charging current should not exceed 1C, which is the nominal capacity of the battery. The exact charging current information will be marked on the battery.
6. Monitor the battery temperature during charging. If there is a significant rise in temperature, stop charging immediately.
7. Avoid deep discharge of the batteries. Do not let the cell voltage fall below 0.9 V.
8. It is not necessary to fully discharge the batteries before each charge. However, occasionally (e.g., after every 10th charge) or if the batteries have not been used for a long time, it is recommended to discharge them before charging.
9. Do not charge multiple batteries together from a single charger. Different states of charge and capacities can lead to overcharging and damage.
