The PYLE PSUB8A subwoofer can be connected to your audio system using either line level inputs or high level inputs.
1. Line Level Inputs: If you have pre-out or preamplifier outputs on your audio system, you can connect them directly to the subwoofer amplifier's internal crossover using the line level inputs. These inputs are summed to mono. If you have a mono line level signal from a "Pro Logic" or "Dolby Digital" receiver, use the right "red" input. Set the crossover frequency control to maximum if a LFE mono output is connected.
2. High Level Inputs: If preamplifier outputs are not available on your audio system, you can use the high-level (speaker) inputs. Simply insert the speaker wire from your audio system into the high-level inputs on the subwoofer.
3. High Level Outputs: The subwoofer also has high-level outputs that can be used to connect to main speakers or to another powered subwoofer with high-level inputs. Note that the high-level outputs are paralleled to the high-level inputs with no high pass filter.
Make sure to set the crossover frequency control and gain control to achieve the desired bass output and blend with the other speakers in your audio system. The phase switch can be adjusted between 0° and 180° to assist with subwoofer placement. The power switch can be set to auto ON or auto OFF mode, depending on your preference.
Please refer to the user manual for more detailed instructions and illustrations on how to connect the subwoofer to your specific audio system.
