To install the EM PHASER EM-MBF3 Upgrade System in your Mercedes Benz Sprinter W907, please follow the steps below:
1. Start by reading the instruction manual carefully before attempting the installation. If you have any further questions or need assistance, contact your authorized EMPHASER dealer.
2. The set includes 2 midwoofers, 1 center speaker, 1 crossover for the center speaker, 2 tweeters with inline-crossovers, and 1 manual. Make sure all the components are in good undamaged condition.
3. The set is compatible with the Mercedes Benz Sprinter model W907 with E1E, E1M, or E1S head unit. For step-by-step instructions on how to correctly disassemble the original loudspeakers of your vehicle, please contact the respective service workshop.
4. It is recommended to insulate the door panel with EMPHASER insulation material ESP-DM1, EM-DM3, and ESP-DM4. This will enhance the sound quality. Ask your EMPHASER dealer for more information about damping.
5. To install the midwoofers, use a wide plastic wedge to carefully loosen the door panel. Start from the bottom and work your way upwards. The door panel is held by two hooks at the bottom, which don't need to be removed. Lean back the door panel, loosen the connection cable, remove the four screws that fix the original speaker, and install the new EMPHASER loudspeaker. Fix it with the original screws and connect the original connection cable.
6. To install the tweeters, disassemble the tweeter trims located left and right in front of the windshield. Use a plastic wedge to pry the tweeters out of the lock. Detach the connection cable from the original tweeter. Connect the EMPHASER tweeter to the original cable and fix it in the mounting hole. Pay attention to the handle on the edge of the tweeter housing, which specifies the exact position to attach the tweeter correctly. Assemble the tweeter cover.
7. To install the center speaker, disassemble the center trim in the middle of the windshield using a plastic wedge. Pry out the original center speaker and remove the two connectors. One connector is for the E-Call system, and the other is for the audio system. Connect the provided center speaker crossover to the connector for the audio system and the second one directly to the second terminal. Install the center speaker in the dashboard and attach the cover.
8. Once the installation is complete, the EMPHASER sound system is ready to be enjoyed.
