To align and assemble the Ottobock 1C40 C-Walk Feet with Dynamic Behavior prosthetic foot, please follow the instructions provided in the manual:
1. Alignment:
- Remove the plastic protector from the product's pyramid.
- Use the recommended alignment apparatus (e.g., L.A.S.A.R. Assembly or PROS.A. Assembly) and required materials such as a goniometer and heel height measuring apparatus.
- Align the prosthetic components in the sagittal plane by setting the heel height to the effective heel height (shoe heel height - sole thickness of forefoot) + 5 mm.
- Set the exterior foot rotation to approximately 5°.
- Position the middle of the prosthetic foot 30 mm anterior to the alignment reference line.
- Connect the prosthetic foot and prosthetic socket using the chosen adapters, following the instructions for use of the adapters.
- Determine the center of the prosthetic socket with the 50:50 gauge and align it centrally to the alignment reference line.
- Set the socket flexion to the individual residual limb flexion + 5°.
- In the frontal plane, align the prosthetic foot's reference line between the big toe and second toe, and align the prosthetic socket's reference line along the lateral patella edge. Observe the abduction or adduction position.
2. Assembly:
- Use the recommended tools, such as the 2C100 changing device, for applying and removing the footshell.
- Slide the prosthetic foot into the footshell and press the heel of the prosthetic foot into the footshell until it engages.
- To remove the prosthetic foot from the footshell, push the lock of the footshell to the rear and pull up the heel of the prosthetic foot.
Please note that these instructions are a summary and it is important to refer to the complete instruction manual for detailed guidance and any specific precautions or recommendations.
