To properly install the AKRAPOVIC Aprilia RSV4 Slip-on Exhaust, please follow the instructions provided in the installation manual. Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Before beginning the installation, make sure to read the entire installation manual carefully.
2. Ensure that you have the correct exhaust system for your motorcycle model. Verify that the AKRAPOVIC exhaust system and the installation manual correspond to your motorcycle type.
3. The exhaust system can become extremely hot during and after use. Allow the exhaust and engine to cool down completely before starting the installation.
4. Securely position your motorcycle to prevent tipping over and causing damage to yourself, others, or the motorcycle.
5. Check the parts you received against the parts list available on the AKRAPOVIC website. Make sure you have all the necessary parts for the installation. If any parts are missing, do not proceed with the installation and contact the retailer where you purchased the exhaust system.
6. If you are an advanced user, check the motorcycle's spring preload settings to optimize ground clearance.
7. Each exhaust system muffler has a unique serial number that identifies the authenticity of the product. Verify that your exhaust system is an original AKRAPOVIC product. If you have any doubts, contact the reseller or AKRAPOVIC partners.
8. Follow the specific instructions for removing the stock exhaust system. The process may vary depending on the existing exhaust system. Refer to the original exhaust system manufacturer's instructions for uninstalling the original exhaust system.
9. Carefully remove the EVO Link Pipe from the collector by unscrewing the marked bolts and unhooking the marked springs.
10. Slide the AKRAPOVIC Track Day Link Pipe onto the collector's outlet and attach the spring. Ensure that the connection is secure.
11. Position the muffler correctly and slide it onto the outlet of the link pipe. Attach the springs and hand tighten the carbon-fiber clamp onto the muffler's bracket using the provided bolt, nut, and washer.
12. Align the muffler in respect to the motorcycle and tighten the muffler's bracket bolt to the specified torque.
13. Clean any grease spots off the exhaust system surfaces after installation. Use appropriate cleaning methods for each component of the exhaust system.
14. Periodically check and tighten all bolts and springs to ensure they are sufficiently tight.
