To connect the Bricasti M3 Digital to Analog Converter to your audio system, follow these steps:
1. Unpack the M3 and inspect it for any signs of damage during shipment. Report any damage to the carrier.
2. Make sure you have the correct AC line voltage as set by the manufacturer. Check the power requirements section of the manual and adhere to any power indications on the rear or bottom of the chassis.
3. Choose a suitable location for the M3. Avoid placing it in an unventilated rack or above heat-producing equipment. The maximum ambient operating temperature is 40°C.
4. Do not expose the M3 to rain or moisture to prevent fire or shock hazard.
5. Connect the M3's analog outputs (XLR or RCA) to the appropriate inputs on your preamp or power amp using high-quality cables and connectors.
6. Connect the M3 to your digital sources using the available digital inputs (AES, SPDIF, To slink, USB, or RJ45).
7. If using the USB input, make sure you have the necessary driver installed on your computer (if using Windows).
8. If using the optional network interface, connect the M3 to your network router using the RJ45 Ethernet connector.
9. Power up the M3 by connecting it to the AC power source. Use the main power switch at the rear panel for complete power on/off.
10. Use the front panel controls or the optional remote control to select the desired input, adjust the analog level, balance, and other settings as needed.
