To install the SIPATEC TR.Ex Analog Transducer in a hazardous area, please follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you have read and understood the manufacturer's instructions and valid standards and rules for installation.
2. Make sure the power is off before unlocking the device or opening the terminal box.
3. During installation, maintain the housing protection type IP66 in accordance with EN 60529 to ensure proper protection against dust and water ingress.
4. This equipment is suitable for use in Zone 1, 21 (II 2GD), and 22 (II 3GD). The sensor circuit can be introduced into Zone 0 (II 1G), corresponding to the designation II 2 (1) G.
5. Ensure that the process-contacting materials of the transducer are resistant to the measurement media in which it will be used.
6. Connect the unit to the potential equalization (PA). Both internal and external terminals are available for this purpose.
7. Protect the unit against mechanical impact/pressure and UV light to ensure its longevity and performance.
