To install the REMORAN WAVE 3 300W Hydrogenerator on your boat, follow these steps:
1. Rail installation:
- Mark the locations of the holes on the boat.
- Drill the holes with a diameter of 8 mm.
- Slide the bolts into place.
- Apply sealant around the bolts on the inside.
- Place the rubber mat on the rail.
- Insert the rail and tighten the bolts with the reinforcement plate, rubber washers, washers, and nuts.
2. Mounting the turbine:
- Slide the turbine onto the shaft.
- Insert the xxxx and washers and tighten.
- Ensure there is a gap of approximately 3mm between the turbine and the generator.
3. Charger installation:
- Select the appropriate length of screws based on the thickness of the base.
- Mark the location of the charger in a dry place using the included stencil.
- xxxx on the charger, leaving space around it for cooling.
4. Installing the cable feedthrough:
- Drill a hole for the connector in the transom of the boat.
- Insert the cable through the hole and seal the feedthrough with sealant.
- Fasten the connector with two wood screws.
5. Connecting the cables:
- Connect the numbered wires to the corresponding numbered xxxx terminals of the generator connection on the charger.
- Connect the charging wires to the appropriate apertures, ensuring the + and - wires are in their correct locations.
6. Adjustments before operation:
- Detach the locking pin cotter and pull out the pin to adjust the blade to a suitable height.
- Lock the blade by securing the pin and locking pin cotter back in place.
- It is recommended to use a safety rope, but do not tie it to the locking handle.
7. Attaching the outboard unit to the rail:
- Lift the locking handle to the top position.
- Slide the outboard unit down the frame along the rail.
- Lock the outboard unit to the rail by pushing the handle down to the bottom position.
- Adjust the angle by pressing the angle adjustment xxxx and sliding it along the angle guide to the desired position.
- The angle of the outboard unit should be perpendicular to the surface of the water.
- Connect the cable connector to the feedthrough connector installed in the boat.
Once the installation is complete, the REMORAN WAVE 3 300W Hydrogenerator is ready for use. Charging will start automatically when the turbine starts rotating.
