To calibrate the CO2 sensor on the S S REGELTECHNIK RCO2-AS GmbH Room CO2 Sensor & Transducer, you have two options: automatic calibration and manual calibration.
For automatic calibration, you need to open all windows or set the air conditioning system to use outdoor air. Switch on the device and move away from it, ensuring all persons leave the room. The device will perform a self-test and temperature equalization process, which takes approximately 30-50 minutes. After this process, the device is ready to use.
For manual calibration, you need to ventilate the room intensively to bring it up to fresh air level (≤ 500 ppm). Remove the housing cover and open all windows or set the air conditioning system to use outdoor air. Wait for 15 minutes for ventilation, ensuring all persons leave the room. Press and hold the "ZERO" button until the flashing LED row changes to a steady light after 5 seconds. Leave the room again and after another 2 minutes, the calibration is complete. The LED display should indicate a CO2 concentration between 350-500 ppm.
It is important to note that regular ventilation of the rooms and flushing of the duct with fresh air will increase the measuring accuracy of the sensor.
