To install the Goldair GCCF120 120cm Ceiling Fan, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location for the fan that ensures adequate clearance from all objects and walls, and where the fan blades will be more than 2.3 meters from the floor.
2. Check if there is a ceiling joist to which the fan can be secured. If not, install a 50 x 100mm brace between ceiling joists.
3. Secure the hanger bracket with 2 screws to the ceiling.
4. Attach the blades to the motor housing using 2 blade screws per blade.
5. Carefully lift the fan assembly onto the hanging bracket. Rotate the fan until the notch on the down rod ball engages the ridge in the hanging bracket. This will allow for hands-free wiring.
6. With the hanging bracket holding the fan assembly, make sure the connector is properly in place.
7. Connect the wires according to the wiring diagram: Brown wire to L, Blue wire to N, and Green/Yellow wire to the earth.
8. Tighten the lower canopy set screws against the down rod to ensure good electrical and mechanical fixing.
9. Fit the controller to a standard wall plate mounting and wire it according to the wiring diagram. Secure it to the wall and fit the xxxx caps.
10. Check all wiring, switch on the power at the switchboard, and test the fan's operation.
Please note that it is recommended to have the fan installed by an authorized electrician to ensure proper installation and safety.
