To expand your TYREDOG TD-2300A kit from a 4 Wheel kit to an 8 Wheel kit, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the batteries are removed from the new sensors, the monitor has power, and the relay has power. Also, remove the top cover of the relay if it is fitted.
2. Change the vehicle layout on the monitor by pressing and holding the Mute (Left) button for a few seconds until the Unit settings menu appears.
3. Scroll across to menu C (Type of vehicle) using the Mute (Left) button. Press the Backlight (Right) button to enter this menu. Scroll through the vehicle layouts using the Mute (Left) or Temperature (Middle) button until you find your new layout, then press the Backlight (Right) button.
4. Make sure the TYPE of TRAILER is set to NO.1 NONE by scrolling through the vehicle layouts using the Mute (Left) or Temperature (Middle) button, then press the Backlight (Right) button.
5. Scroll across to menu D (Add new Relay) using the Mute (Left) button. Press the Backlight (Right) button to enter this menu. Press the reset button on the relay once (short press only). The monitor will beep and briefly display an ID for the relay.
6. Press the Backlight (Right) button to go back to the settings menu. The new layout has now been saved to the monitor and relay, allowing you to program the new sensors.
7. Press the Mute (Left) button to scroll across to menu E (Add new Sensor). Press the Backlight (Right) button to enter this menu. Press the reset button on the relay once (short press only). The monitor will beep and briefly display an ID for the relay. The LED on the relay will illuminate solid red to indicate that it is in Learning mode.
8. Insert a battery into the new sensor. The monitor will beep once the battery is inserted, and the wheel location on the monitor will go solid black. Repeat this step for the rest of the new sensors until they are all programmed in. Note that you only need to do this for the new sensors, as the old original sensors will already be programmed in.
9. Once all new sensors are programmed in, press the reset button on the relay once (short press) to exit Learning mode. The LED on the relay will turn off.
10. Either switch the monitor OFF and ON using the switch on the side of the monitor or press the Backlight (Right) button, then the Temperature (Middle) button to exit the menu on the monitor.
11. Test all sensors to ensure they are working and programmed correctly. If needed, set the Alarm Warning Thresholds according to your preferences.
