To set up the Tapo Smart Contact Sensor, follow these steps:
1. Make sure you have a Tapo Hub and it is successfully added via the Tapo app.
2. Open the Tapo app and tap the button, then tap "Sensors" and select your model.
3. Follow the instructions in the Tapo app to complete the setup.
4. Check if the LED on the sensor blinks. If not, use a pin to press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds. Follow the app instructions to complete the setup.
5. Test the sensor by opening and closing it in your preferred location. Check the Event Log on the Tapo app to confirm the open/closed status.
6. Mount the sensor by sticking the included adhesives on the sensor and magnet. Choose where you want to install the sensor and place the magnet near the edge of the door or window that moves. Align the magnet and sensor with no more than 0.59 inches (15 mm) between them when the door or window is closed. Peel the backing from the adhesive and press the sensor and magnet into place.
