To set up the tp-link Tapo Smart Button, you will need a Tapo Hub. Make sure your Tapo Hub is successfully added via the Tapo app. Here are the steps to set up your smart button:
1. Open the Tapo app and tap the button icon.
2. Tap "Switches" and select your model of the smart button.
3. Follow the instructions in the app to complete the setup process.
4. Test the button by pressing it in your preferred location.
5. Refresh the home page on the Tapo app to confirm its status.
6. Attach the non-slip pad to the button to keep it firmly in place.
7. Optionally, you can magnetically attach the button to metallic objects or use the provided bracket with adhesive or screws (installation height should not be higher than 6.56 ft or 2 m).
Once the setup is complete, you can view and manage your devices, create smart actions, and receive instant notifications through the Tapo app.
Note: If the LED on the smart button is not blinking, you may need to reset it. Refer to the manual for instructions on how to reset the smart button.
