To start the SIMPSON triplex Plunger Pump Cold Water Professional Gas Pressure Washer, follow these steps:
1. Add fresh, high-quality, unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher to the fuel tank. Do not overfill the tank. Wipe up any spilled fuel before starting the engine.
2. Check the engine oil level and add oil if needed. Refer to the Engine Owner's Manual for the correct procedure.
3. Check the pump oil level. The oil level should come to the dot in the middle of the sight glass. If the oil level is low, add SIMPSON Premium Pump Crankcase Oil or an SAE 15W-40 oil. Refer to the Pump paragraph under Maintenance in the instruction manual for more information.
4. Connect the water hose to the water source and turn on the water supply. Make sure the filter screen is in the water inlet of the pump.
5. Connect the high-pressure hose to the pump outlet.
6. Choose the correct nozzle for the job and insert it into the spray wand.
7. Turn on the water source to remove any air from the hose. When a steady stream of water is present, turn off the water source.
8. Start the engine according to the instructions in the Engine Owner's Manual.
9. Depress the trigger on the gun to start the water flow.
10. Release the trigger to stop the water flow.
Remember to follow all safety guidelines and precautions outlined in the instruction manual while operating the pressure washer.
