To properly install the EDGE EDB80.2LITE-E0 amplifier, please follow these guidelines:
1. Mount the amplifier in a dry location on a solid surface. Do not mount it upside down as this can cause overheating and damage.
2. Ensure there is sufficient airflow around the amplifier by leaving at least two inches of space around the exterior casing.
3. Use at least 8 gauge power and ground cables for the connections. The power cable should be taken directly from the battery, and a fuse/circuit breaker of equal value to the one fitted in the amplifier should be placed inline with the power cable within 18 inches of the battery.
4. Connect the high-level input or low-level input/output depending on your source (head unit). If using high-level input, there is no need to connect the remote turn-on wire. Do not connect both high-level and low-level inputs at the same time.
5. Use RCA cables to connect the source (head unit) to the amplifier. Take care to run these cables away from any items that can generate interference.
6. Familiarize yourself with the terminals and connections on the amplifier, such as gain control, high pass filter (HPF), low pass filter (LPF), crossover mode select switch, bass boost select switch, speaker terminals, power/protect LED, and fuse.
7. Depending on your desired speaker configuration, follow the channel wiring configuration provided in the manual.
8. Set up the amplifier by adjusting the gain control to match the input signal of the source (head unit). Set the crossover mode and frequency according to your speaker specifications or preferences.
9. For optimal setup, consider seeking the advice of a professional installation engineer or visiting your local EDGE audio dealer.
