To install YBS Insulation ThermaWrap Self Adhesive Shed Insulation on your garden shed or summer house, follow these steps:
1. Measure the area: Measure the area you want to insulate and calculate the amount of insulation required.
2. Prepare the surface: Before applying the insulation, ensure that the surface of the shed is clean and free from any debris or dirt. It is recommended to clean the surface before installation.
3. Step 1: Starting at the bottom, roll out the insulation across the wall of the shed. Once in position, peel the easy peel backing from the self-adhesive tape and apply pressure to the surface. This will ensure that the tape bonds to the wall. Cut the material at the end.
4. Cut around obstacles: If there are any windows, handles, doors, or other obstacles, cut the insulation around them to ensure proper access.
5. Step 2: Apply the next layer of insulation following the same instructions as in step 1. However, this time, make sure there is an overlap of 50mm between the layers.
6. Cutting: You can cut the ThermaWrap insulation using a craft knife or a sharp pair of scissors.
7. Tape fixing: Clean the surface of all loose debris, position the insulation, remove the easy peel backing from the self-adhesive tape, and apply pressure to the back of the insulation.
